Chiy weaving: From traditional craft to contemporary art
On September 29, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Forum hosted “Keepers of Chiy Traditions,â€� the closing art exhibition of the PREF 2025–26 project “Chiy weaving at the Ñ�rossroads of art, ecology and cultural survival.â€� The project was initiated and carried out by Cholpon Kuskakbaeva, a graduate student in Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ's Anthropology program, with the support of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Presidential Research and Education Fund (PREF).
